I always remember hearing the quote "I'd like to thank all of the little people..." but I never knew where it came from. After doing a quick Google search, it seems to be generally agreed that Barbra Streisand said this during her 1969 Oscar acceptance speech.

I literally don't see her saying any such a thing. She seems to thank all of the Hollywood people but never the little people.

Maybe I'm just stupid or I missed the joke, but at what point did "thanking the Hollywood people" become "thanking the little people"?
