Did Double King grow another hand?

Did Double King grow another hand? - Crop woman showing green palm leaves near wall

I was watching the short film Double King (by Felix Colgrave) for a film essay when I noticed either an animation mistake or a personal misunderstanding.

At about 6:28 they see their ring and cut off their fingers. They do this by pinning down their ringed hand with one hand and cutting off their fingers with another.

If you count the amount of hands shown in this scene, there are three (one too many for his species). I'm pretty sure the "hand" pinning down their ringed hand was actually his foot, but I'm not sure. How many hands does he have?

Why did Double King cut off his finger?

It can be inferred that The King is addicted to amassing power, and cutting his own finger off gives him that feeling of satisfaction. However, his addiction gets the better of him as he bleeds to death (this is a funny film, by the way).

Who is the Double King?

The Double King is the titular protagonist of the 2017 YouTube video of the same name created by Australian animator Felix Colgrave. He is a monarch who abandoned his kingdom and subjects to seek for crowns of other kings and queens to steal, even though it means murdering them in the process.
