In The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)

Ben is writing a novel about Trevor at the end and writes

On his 21st birthday, I found him lying on the floor of his bedroom, finally at peace.

After a thoughtful pause, he writes again:

He was faking of course. Anna quit the next day.

Was Trevor really faking it, or was he dead? The pause makes me think that Ben made up that ending in his head just then, as a way to sort of keep Trevor alive.

Is Trevor dead in The Fundamentals of Caring?

Regarding the very end of the movie, did Trevor actually die, or was that just a way for Ben to introduce Trevor's humor in his book? IMO, based on the look on Ben's face before he wrote the sentence, Trevor died.

Is Craig Roberts really disabled?

The biggest letdown though, is that Craig Roberts is not actually disabled. Let's be real. He relied completely on physical stereotypes to depict disability.

Whats wrong with the dad in fundamentals of caring?

Not that Trevor, played by a doe-eyed Craig Roberts (\u201cSubmarine\u201d), doesn't have a reason to be surly; he suffers from muscular dystrophy, a disorder that severely impairs his physical abilities but leaves his mind sharp.
