Spirit realm explanation from Kung Fu Panda 3

Early in the movie Kai collects enough chi to leave the spirit realm.

So why is it that later when Po brings them both to the spirit realm Kai doesn't simply return to the mortal realm? He had more chi than before. Was it insufficient?

Is it that the chi he got was good enough for only a one trip and can't be reused, and the total chi he got thereafter was insufficient?

Or something like that?

Why did Oogway go to the spirit realm?

Oogway brings Po to the Spirit Realm to inform him that he is to be the mentor of the Panda Guardians.

How did Po send Kai to the spirit realm?

While all the villagers crowd around them, Po distracts Kai then locks his arm around his neck and performs the Wuxi Finger Hold on himself. This sends them both to the Spirit Realm in a flurry of chi and peach blossoms.

Is Shen in the spirit realm?

Shen was a kung Fu master, he died he went to the spirit realm.

Did Tai Lung go to the spirit realm?

From Kung Fu Panda 3, we learn that Tai Lung has been sent to the spirit realm where he was not able to escape. We also find out that Tai Lung may have met Kai in the Spirit Realm as we see Kai carrying Tai Lung's chi.
