Why does Dakuan use this specific poison in Ninja Scroll?
In the movie Ninja Scroll (1993), Dakuan (the little old man) poisons Jubei to force him to help his plans. Later it is revealed that the poison can be cured only by the poison that is in Kagero (the poison lady). I really didn't understand that plot point. What was the point of using such a specific poison? Did Dakuan not anticipate them actually meeting Kagero and wanted Jubei to die in the end?
